About
As I was listening to the Wikinomics audio book (paperback
), a lot of things stated made a lot sense to me - i.e. mass collaboration can achieve more than individuals, and the wisdom of crowds surpasses the individual.
At the same time, I was working on a number of new business concepts and found, that you can apply mass collaboration and the wisdom of crowds to almost all the challenges and questions that arise in the concept stage of building a new company. Once the revelation hit home, I immediately came up with a number of questions, challenges and problems to which the wisdom of crowds could provide inspiration, answers, and solutions.
This inspired me to start this blog to pose questions and challenges to the community and thereby harnessing the wisdom of crowds and power of mass collaboration for exciting business ideas and new concepts.
I hope this blog becomes a medium for input, feedback, suggestions and ideas - and that crowd brainstorms can be turned into a modus operandi for building and improving new business ideas and concepts. I welcome everybody to contribute by commenting on the issues raised - and to send in ideas and suggestions for the issues of discussion.
The title I have chosen for the blog is inspired by the book Wisdom of Crowds by James Surowiecki. I feel it is a good match with what I would like to achieve with this blog, though it does not entirely match the definition from the book.
By the way, listening to audio books while getting [daily/weekly/monthly/copious] exercise make as you feel that you are achieving something useful and interesting while enduring something (for some) painful and boring.
